Data Deletion Instructions

The bloopcommits Instagram auto-reply stores very little: the IDs of comments it has handled (without your username or the comment text) and, for 24 hours, your username together with the guide keyword you asked for. Log lines are removed automatically within 7 days. It stores no comment text and no message content.

Option 1: delete it yourself

1. Delete your comment on the @bloopcommits post (in Instagram, press and hold the comment, then choose Delete).
2. If you no longer want the message, delete the conversation with @bloopcommits in your Instagram inbox.
3. Nothing else is needed: the username + keyword entry expires by itself after 24 hours, and log lines within 7 days.

Option 2: ask us to delete it

1. Send a direct message to @bloopcommits on Instagram with the words: DELETE MY DATA.
2. Send it from the account whose data you want removed, so that we know the request is yours.
3. We delete every stored entry that carries your username and confirm in the same conversation, within 30 days.

If you connected an Instagram account to the app

You can remove the app's access yourself: in Instagram open Settings, then Apps and websites, find the app in the Active list and choose Remove. The app can then no longer read anything from that account.
